YES Community Counseling Center

YES Community Counseling Center’s mission is to increase awareness about personal and community issues, prevent and treat substance abuse, and to promote healthy families and a safe community. YES assists the young people and adults of our community in developing to their full potential. The staff of YES is comprised of administrators, support staff, and professionals with extensive education and experience in social work, mental health counseling, prevention and treatment of addictions, and family therapy. Staff includes licensed clinical social workers, clinical social workers, licensed mental health counselors, credentialed addiction counselors, credentialed prevention professionals, and family therapists. A psychiatrist and nurse practitioner are also available to serve clients within the addiction treatment program.

Long Island Crisis Center

If you or someone you know is in crisis or feeling suicidal, the Long Island Crisis Center is available 24/7 at (516) 679-1111. The center provides 24/7 access to free, high-quality, confidential and non-judgmental services to support and empower Long Islanders at critical times in their lives. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is also available 24/7 at 1-800-273-8255. If you or someone else is in any immediate danger, call 911 immediately and notify the relevant authorities.

Nassau Alliance for Addiction Services (NAFAS)

NAFAS is a not-for-profit coalition of 26 community-based agencies across Nassau County, Long Island, committed to delivering affordable, accessible, and comprehensive prevention and treatment services to individuals and families struggling with the consequences of drug, alcohol, gambling and other addictions and abuses.
